Origin: Originally from the Far East, the cultivation of persimmon in Spain dates back more than a century, especially in the sunny plains of southern Spain. Our country has generated its own varieties, perfectly adapted to our climate and to the taste of the European consumer.
Appearance: A smooth, shiny skin, of an intense orange color that turns red during ripening. Clean succulent flesh, the same orange color as the skin and completely seedless.
Taste: The luxurious taste of this fruit is reflected in its botanical name Dyospiros, which literally translates as “food of the gods”. It’s sweet, succulent flesh is becoming a firm favorite with consumers.
Harvest: Beginning of October to end of July
