Origin: Pears have a long history of cultivation in our country with the Romans being the first to sing the praises of the superior quality of the pears of Hispania. From the warm plains of the South for the early varieties to the fertile soils of the Ebro Valley for the later varieties Spain provides the optimal conditions for obtaining a high quality pear, much appreciated by international markets.
Appearance: A rich, yellow color when fully ripe, with soft, silky, white flesh.
Taste: Delicately sweet, juicy and uniquely refreshing.
Harvest: Early varieties, end of June to end of July. Late varieties, August to September.
