Generations of farmers
Atanasio Naranjo, president of Tanynature is the son of a farmer, and also lectures at the Agricultural Families School (Escuelas Familiares Agrarias (EFA). During the seventies he travelled the world studying the innovative techniques and processes of a wide variety of farms and plantations in Italy, France and Chile.
1980
An Entrepreneur in Extremadura
On his return to Extremadura, Atanasio Naranjo, adapting and refining all the knowledge he had accumulated on his travels, created his first business venture, Vivero VIAN Nature.
1990
Produce, package and distribute
Using an integrated production approach enabled us to improve service and quality throughout the entire value chain. We quickly realized that controlling the whole process from beginning to end provided benefits not only for our clients but also for the growers.
2000
The best varieties in the world
We sought out the best breeders on the planet, adapted their knowledge to the local environment here in Extremadura and began to plant, commercialise, and control the entire production chain.
2004
Positive differentiation in all our brands
Our trees produce fruit from a broad range of categories each as important to us as the next. Our extensive range of varieties enable the consumer to positively differentiate and choose the fruit that best suits their needs. In 2004 the company made a 180º u-turn in all its business communications.

Environmental sustainability
“To give back a little of what nature gives us every day”, forms the essence of our commitment to the environment. We work tirelessly for the sustainable fertility of our lands and it is this sound agricultural policy which in turn rewards us with our world renowned delicious fruit with zero waste.
